this damn year

hey... happy new year to all and to all a new year. I'm not crazy, that was a quote from Santa Claus. anyway. here we are in 2011. Last year was a good year of touring for me. But I don't want to be limited to just touring and performing this year. I was disappointed for not having completed my full length album in 2010 (not even close). So I am sitting here, trying to figure out how that is going to happen. I am also confirming shows and filling in some gaps for touring coming up in just a few weeks.

some of my musical goals this year are:

-work on getting song placements in tv, film, commercials, wherever
-work on radio promotion (I sent out 200 cds prior to the holidays)
-do some in-studio performances, interviews
-practice banjo and mandolin more
-work on my video editing skillz, and take more road videos
-FINISH THE ALBUM?! <--- seemingly least realistic, since I am 0 for 2 the last 2 years with this goal.

What are your goals this year?
