flushed
I should blush I'm so embarassed about how long it's been for an entry. well I guess atlanta was my last entry...
I made a great return to UNF in jacksonville and I booked myself a hotel room for this night. the woman on my hotline told me it was 3 miles from the university. turns out it was like 22 miles from the school and right next to the airport. and the bastards didn't even hook me up with a free continental breakfast, however the $8 buffet wasn't all that bad. as for the show. it was fun as usual. I usually have a small group or loyal pals who hang out when I play at wackadoo's. and there's only one or two to my knowledge who have seen each of my 4 visits to UNF, and I think one of them is a girl names Leslie. forgive me if I'm wrong, I hope I'm close. anyway, so I decided to bust out a stool and sit, because sitting was a recurring theme of this tour and I was quite comfortable with it.
by the end of the show my denim ass-print was perfectly sketched into the surface of the stool. it was quite remarkable. and afterwards, i ran into a bit of a problem where I had run out of stickers and this one chick really wanted one... so i told her I'd mail her one, which I'll have to do tomorrow, now that I remember...
and as a bonus, I busted out, for the first time, my official frisbees and cups to the wonderful crowd that stayed all the way through for me. it was a fun show, and I'm glad I could keep coming back...
then we had a show at a new town, hoboken, NJ. this place called the goldhawk. i just took a minute to thank the guy who booked me the show. anyway, it was such an awesome room. with these couches and chairs, and tables, and it was dimly lit how I like it. the set was fun, and i was just glad that i found a parking spot at a parking garage 5 blocks away. but they validated my ticket, so it was cool... now hoboken is not just fun to spell. it's a fun place to be.
finally there was JMU. and as usual, it was a hit or miss crowd. although I love to play there. sometimes it's packed, and sometimes it's slow. but once I started playing, some cool peeps sat down and hung out the whole time... i took it as a compliment when someone came up and told me that they thought it was a cd playing on the speakers, so they dug it...
it was my final bearded tour show, and I liked the beard. I've been growing beards for probably the past 4 winters, and I must say I never had the beard longer than this winter. I had it for a couple months before christmas, and then again for about 3 full months, so I stuck with it, and I found that I could still sing with the beard, which I never thought would be possible... seriously?
yeah... so I think I'm getting in tune to this myspace thing, I've had many offers of support from people I've met on the road, so they must know how to do everything... so it'll be okay...
Pistons are kicking ass right now. I'm going to opening day for the Tigers on MOnday... life is good y'all...
